There is a set of deictic classifiers in Pilagá (na' 'coming/prox', so' 'going away/past', ga' 'absent/distal') which seem to be able to convey the meaning of a past tense (having either a NP scope, or a propositional scope) (cf. Vidal 2001:113,343).
